Joanna Garcia began acting on the stage of local theater productions at age 10. While attending the Tampa Catholic High School, Joanna Garcia was discovered by Nickelodeon. After her TV debut on the series “Clarissa Explains It All” and “SeaQuest DSV,” Joanna joined the cast of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” in 1994 and appeared on two seasons.

From 1996 to 2000, Joanna Garcia appeared in numerous TV shows, including “Step by Step,” “Second Noah,” “From the Earth to the Moon,” “Any Day Now,” “Party of Five,” “Dawson’s Creek,” “Pacific Blue,” “Providence,” “CI5: The New Professionals,” “Freaks and Geeks,” “Opposite Sex,” “Freedom” and “Boston Public.” She also appeared on made-for-TV films “Love’s Deadly Triangle: The Texas Cadet Murder” and “Holy Joe.”

In 2001, Joanna Garcia made her feature film debut in the teen comedy flick “American Pie 2” and the comedy spoof “Not Another Teen Movie.” She continued to appear on other TV shows, including “Go Fish,” “Going to California,” and “Off Centre” throughout 2001. That same year, Joanna Garcia won a recurring role as Cheyenne Hart Montgomery in “Reba,” wherein she starred in until 2007. For the show, Joanna Garcia and ‘Reba’ co-star Steve Howey were featured in the Reba McEntire music video “Every Other Weekend.”

Aside from working on the set of “Reba,” Joanna Garcia also guest-starred on “What I Like About You,” lent her voice for an episode of “Family Guy,” and appeared on the ABC Family made-for-TV movie “The Initiation of Sarah” and the feature film “A-List” in between 2004 and 2006. In 2008, Joanna Garcia joined the cast of the CW drama “Privileged” as Megan Smith and landed a leading role on the short-lived CBS sitcom “Welcome to the Captain.” Also in 2008, Joanna starred in the movie “A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride” and the comedy flick “Extreme Movie.”
